The IEEE Project Space is an open-access, collaborative space located at EBU1-4710. Students can do homework or get access to basic electronic tools such as soldering stations, breadboard components, and Arduino and Raspberry PI parts!
- Take the Jacobs Hall / EBU1 elevators to the 4th floor.
- Turn left after you exit, then walk to the end of the hall.
- Project Space is the last hallway on your left.

Can I join if I am not an engineering major?
Yes. IEEE at UC San Diego is open to students of all majors, colleges, and programs who are interested in engineering.
I am a transfer student. How should I get involved?
Start as early as you can: Project Space, workshops, project teams, and socials. If you want more responsibility, apply to become an officer. We will help you find a path that fits your first quarters at UC San Diego.
I am new to engineering. Where should I start?
Technical workshops are a strong introduction to hands-on skills. Quarterly Project teams are open to every skill level and supported by mentors. Come with questions for officers during Open Access Hours in Project Space.
Is there a membership fee?
No. IEEE at UC San Diego does not require a fee. An International IEEE membership is optional and useful if you want extra mentorship and resources.
